As we prepare for our upcoming meeting in Bamberg, the Go2CHANGE Working Groups have started their activities, laying the groundwork for resilient heritage management. We are pleased to share the first inputs and key milestones from recent sessions.

WG2: Climate AdaptationFollowing its kickoff milestone on 13 March, WG2 is building a shared policy and management framework to support climate adaptation across the Go2CHANGE network. The group is focusing on bridging the gap between general theory and practical tools, with particular attention to the Go2CHANGE Urban Living Lab in the Bamberg World Heritage site.

WG4: Community EngagementSafeguarding heritage starts with people. WG4 is focusing on local wisdom and traditional knowledge to support climate actions that are adaptable, inclusive and socially cohesive.

WG5: Urban Living Lab Heritage CitiesFollowing a productive exchange between COST Action leaders and Bamberg researchers on 23 February, WG5 is identifying research strengths to support the local Urban Living Lab. A focused dialogue between international partners and local experts began on 9 March to map Bamberg’s climate risk profile, identify priority heritage features and define essential datasets for future protection.
